The Early Years 1993-1999
The promoters of Premier LPG Limited (PLL) were running the company named S.O. Gas Products (P) Limited since 1984 and introduced small size cylinder of 200 gms. under ‘Insta’ brand. In 1993, while the company was in process of launching 2 kg. & 4 kg. cylinders, the Government of India allowed private entrepreneurs to supply bigger capacity cylinders. The company then started its supplies from their Bhiwadi plant with capacity of 1000 cylinders per day. Our company very proudly and humbly claims to be the first in country to introduce cylinder from the private sector. Envisioning big fortune in their business, Premier LPG Limited was officially established in the year 1994 with a share capital of Rs. 1 crore and soon saw its increase to Rs.2 crores.
Substantially, the company appointed its 1stbatch of dealers in the area of Bhiwadi, Sri Ganganagar, Ajmer, Jhunjhunu etc. & issued 20000 connections within 8 months. With sustainable growth objective, our company built its own bottling plant at Gulabpura in 1996 with 5 times increase (from 1000 cylinders to 5000 cylinders refills per day) as that in Bhiwadi. This plant was inaugurated by former Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister of Rajasthan Shri Hari Shankar Bhawra. With increasing demand of consumers in 1998-99, our company embarked new heights of growth unlike other companies from public sector.
However, during this period all parallel marketers faced serious destitution (details listed in our website under ‘Parallel Marketing’) that some were even forced to put up the shutters for their businesses. With long term planning, vision and determination, our company was able to keep our heads high, walk through hurdles and were able to strongly emerge as a leading player in this industry as we are today.
