SPECIAL FEATURES OF INAUGURAL ADDRESS OF DISTRIBUTORS.
Basic structure of all inaugural address is the same, because the objective is to convey our message to a target group of audience. But the message to be communicated may be different and the target audience to whom the message is intended may also be different. This is because the functional objectives of Distributors and Business Associate are different from Dealer. Dealer’s target audience is prospective customers in his sub-area. But the immediate objective of a Distributor is to first get sufficient number of Retailer/Mini Retailer. The distributor audience is therefore prospective and eligible applicants for selection of Retailer/Mini Retailer and thereafter building the business edifice through them. The speeches to be delivered in the inaugural address of the distributor should therefore be in relevance to the objectives.
THE DIFFERENT SPEAKERS FOR THE INAUGURATION FUNCTION WILL BE AS UNDER:-
- Programme announcer: who will also deliver the welcome address. As the organizer of the function, the Distributor may select a suitable person as Programme Announcer for conducting the proceedings of the programme. The announcer should initiate the proceedings with welcome address, which should be brief and intended to welcome the chief guest and other important invitee/participants. The announcer at the end of each agenda item may also thank the person/speaker, who participated in the particular item and thus enable the agenda items to proceed smoothly & sequentially.
- INTRODUCTION SPEECH BY DISTRIBUTOR
He may introduce his business objective as under:-
- To bring LPG use within the easy reach of one and all in the District, “we will not discriminate and make supplies everywhere and everyone in villages, semi-urban areas and big town and cities” etc.
- To cover every section of the society through a variety of product range and consumer schemes. The commercial user, portable stove for convenience of very smaller house-holders, picnic parties etc. We will take special interest in the lower income groups, to whom we will extend convenient consumer loan schemes to cover the initial cost of getting the cylinders and the stove.
- Creating 10 Retailer/ 20 Mini Retailer outlets immediately the Distributorship will provide gainful avenues and opportunities for self-employment to large number of persons.
- The Distributor will hold stocks with him and ensure steady supplies to the Retailer for maintaining and uninterrupted supply to the consumers. He will also provide extension service to the Retailer by making available trained sales representatives.
- The Distributor should also give an assurance to the prospective consumers that his responsibility is to ensure satisfactory service to them and thus he will be monitoring the working system regularly at their convenient time.
- SPEECH OF THE BUSINESS ASSOCIATE.
The business Associate will represent the Zone. He makes selection and appointment of Distributors/Dealer/ Retailer/Mini Retailer & Dealer (Auto LPG). Business associate holding the apex position in the marketing arrangement should also represent the company at the function. Topics to be covered by him will be-
- Highlights of PLL. (Production facilities, past record)
- The Marketing setup and his overall role for the Zone. Business Associate act as a local Head officer for all Associates in the 10 District under their jurisdiction.
- Their job is to bring PREMIER fuel/Auto fuel within reach of everyone in the Area, by establishing new Dealer/Distributor centers/ Dealer (Auto LPG) and organizing distribution service on systematic basis.

This should be addressed by anyone connected with the establishment of the Dealer or by the persons who acted as the announcer for the proceedings. Vote of thanks should be in the form of a concluding task and should be brief. But coverage should cover persons, who are important, and person who have provided any type of support to us. Also cover potentially useful persons, like press, publicity person etc. In the vote of thanks, the Dealer may also make announcement of important matters that he needs to convey to the consumers, regarding new connections, refill orders & PREMIER products etc. Further programme organized for the day including of exhibitions by the Dealer should be explained to the audience and their co-operation/attendance solicited.
